Inductors in the 5G field

An inductor is a component that can convert electrical energy into magnetic energy and store it. It is a device made based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. In AC circuits, inductors have the ability to hinder the passage of AC, and are often used as resistors, transformers, AC couplings, and loads in circuits; When inductor and capacitor are combined, they can be used for tuning, filtering, frequency selection, frequency division, etc. Therefore, it is widely used in fields such as communication, consumer electronics, computer and peripheral office automation, and automotive electronics.

Passive components mainly include capacitors, inductors, resistors, etc. Inductors are the second largest passive components, accounting for about 14%, mainly used for power conversion, filtering, and signal processing.

The role of inductance in circuits mainly includes effectively filtering signals, filtering noise, stabilizing current, and suppressing electromagnetic interference. Due to the fundamental principle of inductance, it is widely used in electronic products, and almost all products with circuits use inductance.

The downstream application field of inductors is relatively extensive, and mobile communication is the largest application field of inductors. Divided by output value, in 2017, mobile communication accounted for 35% of inductor usage, computers accounted for 20%, and industry accounted for 22%, ranking among the top three application areas.
